Random Scene: Kiss Me Like You Mean It

[No specific Sam or Bucky muses borrowed to write this.]

"Kiss me like you mean it."

Barnes' voice was low and warm against her ear, and it caught Hill off guard. She turned from the underlit onyx bar to find him standing only inches away.

"Say again?"

Barnes leaned in again, and every last one of her proximity alarms went off. She wasn't sure if it was cologne or his natural scent that made her ache in places she steadfastly refused to admit existed.

"C'mon, Sam owes me fifty bucks."

"What for?"

"He doesn't think you'd kiss me. I told him to put his money where his mouth is, and he bet me fifty bucks. Whattya say?"

"I should knock both your heads together."

That got a laugh; a low, sexy chuckle that again went straight to her crotch. Part of her hated her reaction to him. She hated feeling like she couldn't control her emotions or libido. Especially when the latter had no problems pointing out how many times she'd wanted him to just pin her to a goddamn wall already. Maybe she should take matters into her own hands.

"C'mon, angel. I won't bite. I'll even take you out to dinner to make it up to you."

"Damn right you will."

That was his only warning before she fisted both hands in the front of his shirt and pulled him forward. At the last second, she angled her chin up and to one side to make sure their noses wouldn't crash painfully together. The entire sky lounge area seemed to go silent the instant his lips landed on hers.

But this wasn't just a quick touch-and-go kiss. She felt his metal arm slide around her waist to pull her even closer. His right hand cupped her jaw and warm fingertips brushed against her neck. A riot of goosebumps washed over her, and she could feel her nipples tighten against the fabric of her bra. She felt his tongue nudge at her lips and she instinctively opened her mouth to him.

Jesus. She couldn't remember the last time she'd been kissed like this. His tongue was warm and strong against hers, and he knew how to kiss without leaving a disgusting spit ring around her lips. A soft moan percolated up from her soul. It was a sound she felt powerless to stop, and it was one he surprisingly echoed.

Time slowed to a crawl. Had a minute passed? An hour? She honestly didn't give two shits. Kissing Barnes felt better than she could've imagined. But it was abruptly cut short by a long, drawn-out cat call followed by Sam's voice.

"Damn, you two! Get a room!"

Barnes slowly disengaged from the kiss and a corner of his lips turned upwards. "Room nothing. I'm gonna need a cold shower after that."

Images of them sharing a shower that was anything but cold flashed through her mind: the feel of bare flesh slick with soap and hot from steam and sex, barely being able to catch her breath as he --

"Angel? You okay?

"What?" she blinked and then cleared her throat. "Yeah, I'm fine."

Another low chuckle had her scrambling to keep her libido in check, and him leaning into to whisper into her ear with that downright hot bedroom voice of his definitely wasn't helping. "Let me at least take you out to dinner before you jump my bones. Deal?"

"I don't want--" she tried to argue, but failed miserably. He acknowledged her half-hearted rebuff with a wink and a smirk, and wandered off to continue his earlier conversation with Sam. "Jerk."

comments

I know Hill & I have been MIA for a good, long while, but we're still here. The past few years have been, well, hell. I lost my mom to cancer two years ago having watched her battle it for three years before that. That kind of stress completely FUBAR'd my writing mojo, and I've been working at getting it back. Even though this account started primarily as an RPG journal, I may start posting various fics and meta af stuff from Hill's POV. I recently signed Hill up for a Discord account (doeswhatsright), but I'm a total no0b when it comes to using it. If you want to add her, that'd be great. I can't promise I'll always be on.
My 2006 iMac has been dying a slow death lately. Going between multiple tabs and apps has been irritating at best since it takes at least 15-30 seconds for things to switch over. This has made tagging incredibly slow, and Hill is >this< close to using the computer for target practice. Needless to say, it's time for an upgrade. I'll still have access to tags & things through other devices like my phone & tablet. It'll just take me that much longer to actually tag anyone. I just want to apologize for tags taking longer than they really should.

comments
